The Cooper Gallery is one of the great artistic and cultural centre points of Barnsley in South Yorkshire. Containing a fine collection of paintings and sculptures from artists who have lived in and been inspired by the local region, and those from further a field, the collection is well respected in art circles. The gallery also shows some local craftworks that have been developed by interesting craftspeople from across Yorkshire.
