The splendid East Riddlesden Hall, formerly a 17th century merchant's house, is a real treasure trove of antiquities, where visitors can marvel at collections of period furniture, exquisite embroideries and traditional textiles. Surrounded by magnificent gardens, the supposedly haunted Hall, is now protected by the National Trust, and stages a varied programme of events throughout the year, including craft fairs, outdoor concerts and children's games. Tours of the Hall and gardens can also be arranged, with guides often wearing period costumes. A gift shop stocks a comprehensive array of quality merchandise and refreshments are avaialable from the tearoom
