The Sheffield Fire and Police Museum features fascinating displays of fire service related memorabilia from the 18th century to present times. It is the largest museum of its kind in the UK and is run entirely by volunteers. Families will enjoy the hands on exhibits, the fire engine rides, and the regular visits from Fireman Sam. Situated in the former Victorian Police and Fire Station, the museum was refurbished by fire fighters from the South Yorkshire Brigade and opened its doors in 1985.
