Surrounded by Hillsborough Park, the Walled Gardens are open all year and consist of a wildlife area, a lawn with herbaceous borders, a woodland glade, and a formal garden. Funded by the Hillsborough Walled Garden Trust, the Gardens are frequently used by community groups and schools. A number of benches purchased in memory of deceased family members provide seating, and there is disabled access. Adjacent to the Gardens is a listed Coach House, and nearby is the Hillsborough Library, formerly an 18th century gentleman's residence.
