Hull Guildhall was designed by the eminent architect Sir Edwin Cooper and opened to the public in 1916. Much of the collection held in the civic building however far outdates the structure. The oak-panelled rooms within the Guildhall are home to one of the most impressive collections of civic insignia, silverware, fine art and sculpture in this region, offering a fascinating insight into local history and culture.
