The Manor House is one of the oldest buildings in Ilkley and stands on the Roman Fort of Olicana. Furnished and arranged with 17th and 18th Century items, the house also hosts two galleries of some of the best northern arts and crafts. The “Solar Wing” houses the museum which portrays the story of Ilkley from Prehistoric to Victorian times, with many interesting ancient artefacts. The western wall of the Roman Fort can be seen in the grounds which command a picturesque riverside location.
