The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway runs through the heart of Bronte country from Oxenhope through Haworth to Keighley. It is a steam railway run entirely by volunteers with great attention to detail. The line is still famous as the setting for The Railway Children. The stations are beautifully preserved with period enamel signs and flower baskets. There is even a roaring coal fire in the booking offices in winter. There are many different attractions en route, including walks from the stations, with special events throughout the year.
