Kings Arms is a great place to have a nice quiet Drink. Bar staff are very friendly. Its warm in Winter they have an open fire. Makes it nice and cosy. And in summer its nice to sit outside near the River ouse watching the Many Boats go by. The Landlord is very nice he chats to all his customers making them feel welcome.

Magnificent pub. Brilliant in the summer sitting by the side of the river, magnificent in the Winter sitting adjacent to a very nice fire.
Cheap but quality beers, good friendly service and always a nice friendly atmosphere. I visit York 3 - 4 times a year and always ensure this pub gets a few quid out of our drinking fund.

Love this place. If you are from the US and want to visit an authentic English pub, in my opinion this is the place to go!! Of course I am a little basis because it serves the best beer - Samuel Smith.
