Leeds Central Library is a Grade 2 listed building that can be found next to Leeds City Art Gallery in the centre of the city, and is run by Leeds Library and Information Service along with 55 other service points. Within the building are specialist libraries for subjects such as art and music, and business and research. In addition, the library offers access to a number of online archives on subjects such as the history of Leeds, as well as ’Leodis’ - a vast photographic archive. Leeds Central Library is also the only library in Yorkshire to hold the complete census returns from 1851-1891 for the whole of the county.
