This fine 18th Century palladian building is home to the Lord Mayor and Borough Council. At that time it was built the High Street was the main road from London to Scotland and Doncaster was an overnight stopping point for long distance stage coaches. The Mansion House is still used as the centre of civic administration and visits are limited to prearranged groups or special open days.
