Middleham Castle was once owned by the mighty Neville family and was a childhood favourite location of the prince who went on to become Richard III. Built in the 12th Century, sadly a great deal of the original structure has been destroyed throughout the years, but enough remains for visitors to marvel at the excellent craftsmanship that went into this fine fortress.
