Middlesbrough Football Club moved to the modern, all-seater Riverside Stadium in 1995. The stadium was built on derelict land alongside the River Tees, helping to revamp the area. Middlesbrough as a team have enjoyed a long spell in the Premiership, and in 2006 got to the final of the UEFA Cup. The club offers tours of the stadium, covering the home and away dressing rooms, ref’s room, press room, tunnel, pitch side, hall of fame, boardroom and Director’s box. Tours are available Monday to Friday, 10am to 6pm, and Sundays at 12.30pm.
