Built in the 1980s, the University of Sheffield’s Octagon Centre is an internationally known concert venue featuring the biggest names in pop, alternative, and classical music. It also hosts a wide range of exhibitions including motor and art shows, fashion shows, and ballroom dancing, as well as the annual Great Sheffield Art Show. In addition it is used for University events, club nights, and conferences. The main auditorium seats up to 1250 people, and there is a spacious lounge with a bar and patio.
