Ogden Water Country Park, situated between Halifax and Keighley, is a green oasis visited annually by upwards of 250,000 people. The park, classified as a Local Nature Reserve in 2003, boasts a spectacular reservoir surrounded by heather uplands and peat moors, which form an ideal breeding habitat for many species of bird. Throughout the woodland visitors can walk, picnic and enjoy the tranquillity and participate in a whole range of activities such as fell running, cycling and bird watching. On site parking is available with refreshments on sale at the visitor centre.
