The Old Smithy Museum is housed in the old village blacksmith’s shop that was closed for commercial use during the 1980s. The building was never really brought into the modern age and therefore exists largely as it would have been at its height of popularity around 1900. The museum contains two forges and a series of tools including the original pieces used around the turn of the century.
