Pickering Lake is stocked with rainbow trout so you can use float or fly fishing methods. The lake is a perfect place for children to learn the art of angling with 99% of visitors getting a catch. Guided tours for individuals are available, and tackle is available for hire and sale. The lake approaches four acres in size and is relatively shallow. There are some large prize fish in the lake - the biggest one recorded was a massive 251b 4oz!
