Opened on the 6th April 1970 it possesses a very unusual roof structure and is now a Grade II listed building, believed to be the best surviving example of a retail market hall from the 1960s and 1970s. Featuring abstract art on exterior walls this popular market has served the local community for many years, developing a reputation for quality and value.
