This museum is housed in what would have once been the House of Correction in the community. The origins of the building go back to the 17th Century, and the prison continued to function in its original capacity until 1878. The police force then took the building over and used it as their headquarters. Experience what it would have been like to be a prisoner, a policeman or a judge in this impressive architectural relic.
