This beautiful double boathouse was in operational use by the RNLI from 1895 until 1957, when it was converted into a museum. Quickly the display has grown in size and stature, now featuring a range of models, paintings, medals, pictures, lifeboat kit and artefacts that have been recovered from famous rescues. There are also personal accounts of men who have worked these seas for generations.
