Rotherham Minster, previously known as the St Parish Church, towers over the town centre. The minster is a fine example of medieval perpendicular architecture and is the third church to stand on this site. Take a look inside this magnificent Minster to see the superbly restored stone work. Hidden away in the back corner of the minster is the lid of a Saxon knight’s coffin which has been inscribed with the outline of a sword.
