Sheffield Town Hall is an impressively domineering sight in the centre of the city. Flanked by the Peace Gardens and the Winter Garden it is a masterfully decorated building both inside and out. Built in the 19th century and opened in 1897 by Queen Victoria it has undergone a number of renovations since E W Moutford’s original design. Upon closer inspection the buildings exterior reveals many treasures. It is a unique spectacle well contrasted with its surroundings.
