Spurn Point (or Spurn Head as it is also known) is a long, narrow spit of sand and shingle held together with mainly marram grass and sea buckthorn. It is a very unique place at just three and a half miles long and only fifty metres wide in places. One of the most striking features is the black and white lighthouse near to the end of Spurn. The site is also a beautiful place for bird watching, sea fishing, walking or just a day out with the family.
