Situated just outside of Castleford in some of the most impressive Yorkshire countryside, Steeton Hall Gatehouse is all that remains of the once important Steeton Hall Estate. The small gatehouse was built in the 14th Century and has hardly changed since the first stone was laid. The site is now managed by English Heritage who ensures that the gatehouse remains in good order and is preserved for future generations to enjoy.
