The Boardwalk has been an important Sheffield music venue since the 1960s. Famous as the site of the Clash’s first gig, the club has featured performances by AC/DC, Genesis, the Sex Pistols, and the Buzzcocks, and it has helped the rise of more recent home-grown bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Milburn, and Little Man Tate. These days the Boardwalk is a venue for local Sheffield bands as well as touring bands and cover acts.
