The Studio theatre is situated within the Crucible complex in Sheffield’s Tudor Square. Opened in 1971 and refurbished in 1994, it has adjustable seating to accommodate up to 400 theatre goers with one, two, or three sides in the round. As well as hosting small scale in-house and touring productions for all ages, the Studio is home to the Lindsay String Quartet’s Music in the Round Festival. It was awarded the Peter Brook Empty Space Award in 2002.
