The World of James Herriot offers a unique tribute one of the most famous vets and authors from Yorkshire. Based in his original surgery in Thirsk, the experience is designed to take visitors back to the 1940s. The centre contains sets from the TV series ‘All Creatures Great and Small’ as well as recreated living quarters of the vet himself. There is an interactive gallery filled with artefacts from veterinary past that is very popular with younger visitors.
