A Grade II listed building in the heart of Sheffield, the Upper Chapel was built in 1700 and has been Unitarian for two centuries. It is surrounded by a peaceful garden with bronze statues by George Fullard. The gallery windows were created by a number of different artists, and the Liberty and Truth windows which frame the pulpit replaced the originals damaged during the Blitz. In the 1840s the chapel was actually turned around so it would face away from the growing city and across the fields.
