The Victoria Jubilee Museum houses a selection of exhibits that were originally compiled by the founder of the institution in 1884. Reverend Charles Tiplady Pratt, who was vicar of the parish, encouraged young people to become interested in natural history by starting a collection. Many of these original collections remain and have been added to, including an exceptional butterfly archive, collection of birds eggs and flowers.
