This impressive cathedral forms one of the centrepieces of the city, and it is thought that worship has taken place here since Anglo-Saxon times. Some time in the 11th Century the first stones were laid here and although little of the original structure remains, there is evidence of nearly a thousand years of development on the site. Internally, attractions include works by JN Comper and George Pace amongst many others.
