York Maze is a limited Summer season attraction that claims to the biggest maze in the world! Please check, by phone or internet, before travelling. The maze is recreated every year in a maize field near the A64 by-pass, so it is a maze made up of maize! The organisers give each official visitor a treasure hunt map to find their way from one checkpoint to another. Along the way you would find a Viking ship, several watchtowers, picnic areas and secret surprises. Official literature says it takes just under one a half a hours to complete, but you may stay all day if you wish. Other on-site attractions include a crazy golf course, a small cafe and children’s playground.
